One day, Miller visited a local library and came across several films about horses. She quickly noticed how peaceful and uplifted she felt while watching them.
Although she had tried many traditional and holistic therapies before, nothing gave her the same sense of calm.

Out of curiosity, she searched for “healing and horses” online. That search opened the door to a new way of healing — equine therapy.
Shortly afterward, she met an equine therapist who guided her toward the fulfilling life she leads today.

While writing her book, Carla held onto hope that she would one day reunite with her son.
